VideoSense together with Advise co-organises the clustering Special Session for EU projects during the 5th International Conference on Imaging for Crime Prevention and Detection ICDP 2013, which will be held on 17 December in London.  This special session will foster liaison and clustering with other related EU projects.  The event is under preparation and the full programme will be available later in the year.  Mr. Alexandros Bakalakos from the European Commission: "Relevant FP7 Security Research Projects and their Results" has already been invited to give an opening speech during the event.  Mr. Bakalakos has been managing a diverse portfolio of research projects in the IST Future Emerging Technologies (FET) area during FP5 and FP6, but also later on in the Networked Media Systems part of the FP7 ICT programme.  He joined the Research Executive Agency Security Unit in 2009, where he serves as a Research Programme Officer and is entrusted with the supervision of projects in Security Research in general and Crisis Management in particular. Furthermore, Mr. Bakalakos will invite representatives from the SAVASA FP7 EU project ( to the event. The invitations of other relevant EU projects to participate to the session are under way.
